On May 30th, Military Medical Academy hosted a meeting of Chiefs of Military Medical Services and the Chiefs of Military Medical Academies countries of BMMC within the framework of 17th Balkan Military Medical Committee (BMMC) Congress, taking place in Belgrade from May 29 to June 1st, 2012. The conference was led by the Head of the Military Health Department Colonel Zoran Popović and the Head of the Military Medical Academy Brigadier General Prof. Dr. Marijan Novaković.

The meeting was dedicated to military cooperation between BMMC countries, especially education related questions, mutual coordination in exceptional cases as well as development of telemedicine project.

The participants agreed about the continuous practice of this type of regular meetings during the BMMC Congress due to the fact they announce successful regional collaboration in the field of military medicine. The first meeting of the Chiefs of Military Medical Services and the Chiefs of Military Medical Academies BMMC was organized last year within the 16th BMMC Congress in Romania.
